Thank you for your interest in the Neurology Residency Program in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

Neurology is a unique and vibrant field that combines the best of time-honored medical practices with the latest technological innovations. A neurologist is a master of the knowledge of anatomy and clinical skills and supplements it by the cutting edge of technology in imaging, electrophysiology, and human-computer interfaces.

UAMS is an ideal place for you to get initiated in the art and science of neurology. Our faculty offers a variety of perspectives, from seasoned veterans to rising stars in their fields. Striving to provide a friendly and encouraging environment, we are all committed to exemplary patient care and share a passion for resident education.

The strength of a neurology department lies in its residents. Our enduring commitment to diversity helps us recruit the best and the brightest. Our graduates have gone on to coveted fellowships and successful neurology practice in both academic and community settings. Current residents are already active in quality improvement and extracurricular roles at the intramural, local, and national levels. We are constantly trying to bring the best and latest educational tools to our residents.

We are seeking bright, energetic and motivated minds to join our fold. As the only university hospital in the state of Arkansas, UAMS draws a broad and varied patient population comparable to centers in much larger metropolitan areas without sacrificing the quality of life a smaller city provides.

We look forward meeting you in the near future. Feel free to call or e-mail. You can also use snail mail – we still check our mailboxes!
