Hi, I am Nayana Prabhu. I am from Mysore, the beautiful city of palaces, in South India. I am a Child Neurology resident in my third year of training. I completed my medical school from Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMCRI), Mysore. I have completed my residency in Pediatrics from JSS Medical College, Mysore. Post-residency, I worked for 5 years as a Pediatrician in leading hospitals in India before moving to the USA.
From the very beginning of my clinical exposure during my medical school years, I had a special leaning towards neurology and took a greater interest in the subject.
This interest only grew stronger as I practiced pediatrics. I pursued my passion for neurology once I moved to the US and I am very glad to have found a perfect place in UAMS to start my career as a Child Neurologist. The complexity and the mystery that are typically associated with neurological conditions challenge, yet, excite me the most.
I am married and we have two beautiful kids. When I am not working, I am usually spending time with my crazy family, traveling, and cooking.
I am excited to start my journey in Child Neurology as a resident in the highly reputed Neurology Department at UAMS.
