Jay Hinkle, MD (Co-Chief Resident)
I grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a B.S. in Biochemistry. I attended medical school at UAMS and chose neurology at UAMS for several reasons: the faculty and fellow residents are very supportive, each specialty of neurology is well represented with abundant opportunity to see a wide spectrum of neurologic disorders, and there is a strong track record of residents obtaining the fellowship of their choice. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, traveling, and anything that has to do with Arkansas Razorback sports. My academic interests include: acute interventions for stroke, stroke prevention, providing Telestroke services to the great citizens of Arkansas.
