Carolyn Mehaffey, MD (Co-Chief Resident)
I’m Carolyn Mehaffey. When I was little I had two dreams, I wanted a canopy bed and a pair of Guess jeans. Then life happened and my sister was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I realized that there is a need for more neurologists in Arkansas. I graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Chemistry and then attended UAMS for medical school. While in medical school, I met my Prince Charming and we were blessed with our very own perfect princess. I chose UAMS for residency because I would ultimately like to stay in my home state and help fill the need for neurologists. In my free time I have mastered pretty much all animal sounds, can sing every song from Bubble Guppies, and am an amazing pretend chef. Also, I have not been able to shake my country roots, and my husband and I enjoy fly fishing.
