Zabeen Mahuwala, MD
I come from India, a country of tradition and culture. I grew up in a joint family, and my personality is influenced by core values centred on family ties, strong work ethic and striving to do the right thing. Trained as a doctor in Internal Medicine in my home country, my love for neurology inspired me to pursue further training in Neurology at UAMS. Successfully balancing family life with the tides of residency has taught me the attributes required to function effectively under any circumstance. I am not only a doctor but also a homemaker- a wife and a mother. I love to spend time with my family, friends, explore new destinations, meet people and learn different cultures.
UAMS is the only stand alone university hospital in the state, hence providing a wide exposure to a wide array of neurological problems, thus giving an opportunity to provide the best training and experience to enable me to become a successful neurologist. Though far, my program has never made me feel away from home!
