Orwa Aboud, MD, PhD
Why did I choose UAMS? Spend some time with the faculty and residents and you will soon see what a fun and inspiring family this is. From a hike to Pinnacle Mountain or a walk over the Big Dam Bridge to a soccer game with faculty and residents, there is always something fun to do. In the warmer months, I plan to go scuba diving!
I enjoy putting my knowledge to work and learning from such expressive, creative Attending physicians. They inspire and energize the residents daily and take the time to create individualized plans for each resident, depending on his or her qualifications and personality. My passion for neurology has only grown stronger after joining the UAMS neurology program.
Though I am just now beginning my journey, I am confident that the program at UAMS will best prepare me to meet all of my future goals. I eagerly await the next phase of my training and welcome the challenges and excitement it will bring. Just as I enjoyed the thought-provoking and friendly environment of graduate school, I know I will continue to thrive through residency.
