Lindsay Malatesta, MD
I am an Arkansas native, born and raised in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This area of the state is scenic and is known for its lakes, rivers, and rolling hills. I loved growing up in a close-knit community where everybody knows you. I attended ASU Jonesboro for college and graduated with a degree in Biology. Attending UAMS for medical school was a logical choice for me since my family and friends were here and I planned on practicing in state.
My attention to detail and fascination with a good mystery is how my love of neurology developed. However, it was not until my grandfather suffered a stroke during my third year of medical school that I realized this was the field I wanted to pursue. One week later I chose my neurology mentor and the rest is history. UAMS, with its tight-knit residents, supportive staff, and proximity to my family was the obvious choice for me for residency. I look forward to the next four years here.
True to my Italian heritage, I try my best at preparing meat pies and raviolis in my spare time. I have one fur baby named Aspen and she is the cutest, sassiest malti poo ever. My hobbies include fishing, volleyball, traveling, hiking and soaking up the sun at the lake.
